Fully restored 1986 Chevy K5 Blazer

First painted my K5 Blazer 4 1/2 years ago with Durabak Bed Liner smooth paint. The entire truck is redone from bare steel in 2 coats zero rust base with 2 coats POR 15 paint as well as 2 coats of Herculiner sanded down with 80 grit and finished off with 2 coats of Durabak paint. Durabak paints adheres very well and holds up well. It's been 4 almost 5 years and I just repainted my K5 Blazer because it faded as expected without a clear coat over it. It has been through 4 New York salty, sandy winters and absolutely no peeling, no rust. I highly recommend Durabak smooth bed liner paint when applied as directed, because it has now proven to hold up to the worse conditions in the country.

Bunk board encapsulation

Tried this with bunk slides instead of carpet. Sanded and covered the new wood boards in an approved primer with 2 coats. Then applied the smooth durabak with 2 coats. Was skeptical at first, but after the stuff dried and hardened, it's amazing. Used a marine silicone for the mounting holes. Only problem was my fault, over tightening the bolts somewhat crushed the wood into the mounts, breaking the water tight seal. 1 quart was enough to cover two 12 foot 2x4s two 5 foot 2x4s, and two 2 foot 2x4s with 2 coats with very little left over. Running a long screw or driving a nail in each end of the board allows you to cover all sides, by balancing them on sawhorses. I have an aluminum x19 boat. If my boat was fiberglass, I think I'd stick with bunk carpet, but you could still use the durabak to seal the wood. It seems to have more flex than using fiberglass epoxy

Smooth Truck Bed Liner

This product worked well above my expectations! I used it as an undercoating and liner for a WWII trailer. The sound deadening properties are amazing! Super easy to apply, it doesnt run and smothes out amazingly as it dries. Only one coat was needed. I also roughed up the finish and painted over it with the correct color OD paint. So far its holding up well. I highly recommend this product!!

Excellent Product

After doing some research on how I wanted to redo the floor in a food trailer I recently purchased, I went with Durabak. Turned out to be a good decision. I wanted something to not only protect the floor, but make clean-up easier. The County Inspector liked it as well. Would recommend.
