It was so easy me and my 15 year old grandson painted the truck and it came out really nice.

Durabak 18 Marine Liner

First time using product . Application was very simple and easy with the textured rollers supplied with kit . Used 2 full gallons to complete our utility box . Would Definately suggest 4 full gallons and extra rollers to do a truck this large to ensure sufficient mil. thickness for durability . Would definately use again .

Great product, One Issue

The texture is great, I think it will hold up as described. My only issue is, if you say it’s a color (white) then it should cover and not have splotches showing through. We have two coats on and going to have to put a third coat on the deck, in hopes of getting a solid coating.

USING TEXTURED AND SMOOTH. PROS AND CONS

I have finally finished using the two coatings I purchased from you. It has been too hot in Florida for the past 2 months to apply my final finish.

I will start with the blue rough surface I used and will tell all my mistakes so someone else doesn’t make them. I pressure washed my jeep first, sanded all surfaces. *1st mistake I used a very aggressive grinding paper. It left deep gouges which were ok under the rough surface coating, but a disaster where I wanted a smooth surface. I used the small roller method for the rough. I used a hand mixer to stir and got a good mix of rubber and paint. Poured this into a small paint tray and applied. *2nd mistake. You have to constantly keep the product stirred.

I ended up with a lot of thick areas where the rubber particles had gathered on the roller and came off onto the vehicle. I suggest using only a small amount at a time in the tray and mixing what is in the can each time before replenishing the tray. *3 mistake tape and cover all areas you don’t want to paint on. So easy to do, but I was lazy and thought the paint would be so thick it would not spatter. Wrong! My end project ended up with a lot of thick paint areas that look like dark spots under the blue. It is not a real hateful appearance but not what I wanted. Also a lot of time cleaning paint splatter off of unintended areas.

So much for the Blue Rough paint.

I chose a smooth gray for all the vertical surfaces on the jeep plus the fiberglass cap.

I removed…
