Durabak 18 Marine Liner Outdoor (Smooth)

We had been ordering the textured for a local first responder for a few years, before going with the smooth this year. They report application was much easier, and the feel is just what they hoped.

Painted fiberglass pool shell

Used to recolor top couple inches of fiberglass pool shell and mortar line between shell and coping bricks a common blue color. Followed prep and application instructions exactly, and it went on perfectly.

houseboat roof and decks

I used 4 gallons of Durabak marine to recoat the roof and front and rear decks of a 35x10 houseboat. I started with 2 gallons of textured for a single layer coat followed up with a coat of smooth. I can't believe how hard the coating is. I had to reattach railings and other items I had taken off to paint. Drilling through the coating I had to 2nd guess if I was in the right spot. My only complaint is that the textured is too rough on my bare feet. I definitely won't worry about slipping. If I was doing it again I would do 1 gallon of textured to 3 gallons of smooth. I assume some of the roughness will wear in with time and if in several years I need to do another coat I will just re-coat with smooth. Only been on the boat for 2 months but I like what I see so far.
