Customer Success Story
Jake,
This is my 88 Chevy P/U, I wanted to get the paint redone but the most economic quote I found was $3800 for body work and original paint, Rhino lining was even more at $4600. The truck isn't even worth that on resale. A buddy I work with turned me on to Durabak and twisted my arm so far he even ordered some for his own rig first and showed me the outcome...I was hooked, so I ordered two gallons of brick red and one gal of black for the rear bumper and bed. It took one day to strip and prep, day two I applied two coats, let dry and put the pieces back on. The whole project cost about $380 with tape, paper etc. I knew by the end of the first coat I liked it, and started looking around the house for other things I could do. I get looks and questions at gas stations and stop lights all the time on what that is. I'm so glad not to have paid thousands, my dents and dings are gone, no waxing, no scratches EVER! as you may see I haven't done the bed yet as I'm waiting for a 5th wheel hitch to be installed, it will get a coat of black aswell. I'm even thinking about putting a stripe down the side of my trailer with leftover red to cover the factory blue. I think it will look great going down the road. Eventually I will touch up the exposed frame of the truck showing under the cab and door jams with leftover black. People have a hard time believing first off that I did it myself, second that it was rolled on and third, the price. It turned out so good that now I'm hot on getting after other things that are degraded on this rig over the years, but soon it will be tough as nails! I push Durabak so hard to others that inquire you should be selling like hot cakes in Oregon. I can't wait to run into employees that work for local liner shops! Anyhow thanks for saving my wallet and P/U. I will definitely buy some more in the future.
Sincerely, Kenny Patsch
